Global Academic Index is an independent academic journal directory, evaluation and metadata-visibility platform. GAI inclusion does not represent an impact factor, citation ranking, academic accreditation, government recognition, degree recognition or equivalence to Scopus, Web of Science, PubMed or DOAJ. Those services maintain their own criteria and records.
This distinction is not a weakness. It is an essential protection against misleading authors, institutions and readers. A responsible journal should describe its GAI status precisely and link to the relevant GAI record.
